How your appointment typically flows.

Podiatry consultations at Botanic Ridge Doctors are with Nader Attia. Bulk billing may apply with a Chronic Disease Management (CDM) plan referral from your GP.

Call reception to book

Podiatry appointments cannot be booked online — please call (03) 5902 8223. Bring any orthotics, footwear of concern, and a CDM plan if applicable.

ii.

Assessment

Nader takes a history, examines your feet, gait and footwear, and identifies the underlying cause of pain or dysfunction.

iii.

Treatment plan

Treatment may include nail care, callus management, orthotic prescription, footwear advice, stretching, or referral for imaging.

iv.

Follow-up

Recurring foot conditions (diabetes, plantar fasciitis, neuropathy) may be reviewed regularly. Reception can schedule rolling appointments.

Podiatry attracts a private fee. Patients with a CDM plan from their GP can claim a Medicare rebate (up to 5 rebated Allied Health visits per calendar year, shared across providers). NDIS and DVA accepted. Please contact reception for current fee details.

Do I need a GP referral?
No referral is needed for self-funded appointments. A CDM plan referral is required to access Medicare rebates.
Does Nader treat diabetic feet?
Yes — diabetic foot care is a clinical interest. Annual diabetic foot assessments are recommended for all adults with diabetes.
Can children see the podiatrist?
Yes — children's gait, in-toeing, flat feet and developmental concerns can be assessed.
How long is each appointment?
Initial assessments are typically 45 minutes. Follow-up appointments are usually 30 minutes.
