Botanic Ridge Doctors has a team of experienced female and male GPs across general practice, women's health, men's health, paediatrics, skin cancer medicine, and minor surgical procedures. Several GPs hold advanced credentials including DRANZCOG Advanced (Dr Fariha Irshad) and a Diploma in Child Health (Dr Yasmin Kazi).

All standard GP consultations are bulk billed for eligible Medicare patients. Walk-ins are accommodated where possible. The team collectively speaks English, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, Bahasa, Greek and Arabic.

What does a GP appointment cover?

Your GP is your first port of call for almost any health concern. A standard 15-minute consultation covers diagnosis, prescriptions, referrals and ongoing care for a wide range of conditions.

Coughs, colds, flu, sore throats, ear infections, urinary tract infections, gastro and minor injuries.

Repeat prescriptions

Repeat prescriptions

An appointment is required for all repeat scripts. Often suitable for a short telehealth consultation.

Annual reviews, 45+ Heart Health Checks, 75+ Health Assessments and Aboriginal & Torres Strait Islander Health Checks.

Specialist referrals

Specialist referrals

Referrals to cardiologists, dermatologists, paediatricians, surgeons and other specialists with full case summaries.

Pathology & results

Pathology & results

Order blood tests, swabs, urine analyses and imaging — most results back within 24–48 hours. Follow-up appointment required to discuss.

Vaccinations

Vaccinations

Routine NIP childhood schedule, adult boosters, COVID-19, shingles, pneumococcal and seasonal flu — most are free under the NIP.

GP consultations at Botanic Ridge Doctors are unhurried and bulk billed for eligible Medicare patients. Walk-ins are accommodated where possible.

Arrival & reception

Bring your Medicare card and any current medications. Reception will confirm your details and any concessions.

Your consult

Your GP listens to your concerns, examines you, and explains options. We allocate enough time for the conversation to be useful.

Next steps

Scripts, referrals, pathology requests and care plans are organised on the spot. Follow-up reminders are coordinated by reception.

Transparent pricing & bulk billing.

Standard GP consultations are bulk billed for all patients with a valid Medicare card. Some procedures (skin excisions, IUD insertion, Implanon, iron infusions, minor surgery) and most Allied Health services attract a private fee. Reception will quote at booking.

What languages do your GPs speak?
Collectively the team speaks English, Hindi, Urdu, Punjabi, Bengali, Tamil, Bahasa, Arabic and Greek.
Do you offer telehealth?
Yes — telehealth consultations are available for eligible patients who have been seen face-to-face within the last 12 months, or who are MyMedicare-registered with the practice.
