Dr Alex Adel — Monash-trained cardiologist with advanced fellowship training in non-invasive imaging — visits Botanic Ridge Doctors monthly to provide stress echocardiography, transthoracic echocardiogram, valvular disease management and heart failure care, including hypertrophic cardiomyopathy.
Dr Adel graduated from Monash University and completed basic physician training at Eastern Health, followed by three years of advanced training in Cardiology at Austin Hospital and Western Health. He has undertaken further fellowship training in non-invasive cardiac imaging — echocardiography, stress echocardiography, cardiac CT and MRI.
His clinical interests include heart failure management (including hypertrophic cardiomyopathy), valvular heart disease and heart disease prevention. Dr Adel visits Botanic Ridge for monthly cardiology consultations.

Your GP completes a referral with relevant clinical history, ECG and bloods where available.
Reception books you into Dr Adel's next monthly clinic. Urgent cases are triaged by your GP.
Dr Adel reviews your history, examines you, and recommends investigations (stress echo, TTE, cardiac CT/MRI) as appropriate.
A detailed letter is sent back to your GP for ongoing care, with management recommendations.
