Dr Faisal Siddiqui is a senior General Practitioner at Botanic Ridge Doctors with international training across West Africa, Asia and the United Kingdom. He completed his General Practice specialisation at the Royal College of General Practitioners (UK) and holds a Master of Public Health.

It depends on your age, family history and personal preference. PSA testing is most beneficial for men aged 50–69 (or 40s if you have an affected first-degree relative). We'll have a balanced conversation about the pros and cons and let you decide.
Not for us — we discuss it daily. ED is extremely common and almost always treatable. Most men feel better immediately just having had the conversation. The first appointment is usually 20–30 minutes.
Absolutely. A Mental Health Treatment Plan opens up Medicare-rebated psychology sessions — you can try therapy alone first. Medication is one tool among many; not a default.
