Botanic Ridge Doctors is a bulk-billed family medical clinic with onsite Allied Health, located in Botanic Ridge Village. Our team includes experienced GPs, practice nurses, and a network of visiting specialists.

Standard GP consultations are bulk billed for all eligible Medicare patients. Walk-ins are accommodated where possible.

How your appointment typically flows.

Urine drug screens at Botanic Ridge Doctors are typically requested by employers, courts or community agencies. Both standard and chain-of-custody options are available.

i.

Bring required documentation

Bring photo ID and any paperwork from the requesting party. Specify whether the screen is for employment, court, or therapeutic purposes.

ii.

Collection

Sample collected in supervised or unsupervised mode depending on the chain-of-custody requirements. A trained practice nurse performs the collection.

iii.

Onsite or laboratory analysis

Some screens are point-of-care (immediate result). Court-grade screens are sent to an accredited laboratory.

iv.

Result reporting

Results are returned to the requesting party as specified in the chain of custody. You may also receive a copy if requested.

Urine drug screens are not Medicare rebatable. Fees vary depending on the panel of substances tested and whether chain-of-custody documentation is required. The requesting party (employer, court) usually pays. Reception will quote at booking.

What substances do you test for?
Standard panels cover amphetamines, methamphetamines, cocaine, opiates, benzodiazepines, cannabis (THC) and methadone. Extended panels are available — discuss at booking.
Is the result reported to me?
Results are reported to the party that requested the test, per the chain of custody. You can request a copy.
Are over-the-counter medications detected?
Some can produce false positives. Bring a list of all medications and supplements you've taken in the past 7 days.
How long do results take?
Point-of-care results: 5–10 minutes. Laboratory-confirmed results: 1–3 business days.
